Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?: An Easy Plan for Losing Weight and Living More
Diets don’t work. Why not? Because they focus on what foods we should and shouldn’t eat but completely ignore everything else that makes us fat. Look at your own situation: You say you want to lose weight, but you just can’t stop indulging. You say you’d exercise more if only you had the time, yet you spend precious hours every night in front of the TV doing what? Munching nutrition-free snacks and drinking supersized beverages.
Peter Walsh, the bestselling author of It’s All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff, believes that the secret to successfully losing weight is to forget about calorie counting and weekly weigh-ins. Instead you need to focus on how, why, and where you eat. When it comes to clearing clutter (the fat in our homes) it isn’t about the stuff itself, it’s about the life you want to live. The same is true for losing weight: It’s not about the pounds, it’s about living the life you deserve in the body you want.
Using his expert techniques honed from years as a clutter expert and organizational consultant on TLC’s Clean Sweep, Peter helps you address how the clutter in your kitchen, your pantry, and your home is directly related to the clutter on your body and negatively affects your ability to lead a full and healthy life. This book shows you how to clean up not just the spaces where you eat, but the routines around them: from planning meals and shopping to dinnertime rituals.
Peter knows all the pitfalls and all the excuses. In Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat? he gives you the tools (and courage) you need to get over all your excuses, face the issues, and make the change to a better life.
This is not a diet book. This is a book about your life — about creating the healthy life and body you have always imagined for yourself. Peter helps you kick the food-clutter habit forever. You have only one life. Start living it today.
Customer Review: Idiotic Concept This Book is Clutter
I’m betting that Peter Walsch thought, what can I mix my last book, How to Organize (Just About) Everything: More Than 500 Step-by-Step Instructions for Everything from Organizing Your Closets to Planning a Wedding to Creating a Flawless Filing System with something else that will be a best-seller? Eureka,”That something else is weight-loss!”
This book is utter garbage. Clutter can lead to stress, disorganized thoughts and related problems, but it does not cause obesity. For anyone who struggles with weight (myself included) this book is an insult.
Thanks to Oprah, this guy is laughing to the bank.
If clutter is a problem, there are numerous books out there to help. I recently read Harmonious Environment: Beautify, Detoxify and Energize Your Life, Your Home and Your Planetand it had a great chapter on getting rid of clutter. (And really, who needs an entire book on getting rid of clutter–just DO IT and stop whining about it.) [ASIN:0767903595 Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui]] is another good one.
If you wish to lose weight, read In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto.
Customer Review: move in with me, Peter Walsh!
I just love this man …his firm but gentle manner, very application-friendly tips and advice..and no holds barred honesty. ( his Aussie accent doesnt hurt a bit, either!) I have all but one of his organizing books, and this one was great. I ALWAYS seem to lose a few unwanted pounds when I declutter, and its a great feeling! Peter Walsh makes you realize that one has nothing to fear about “letting go” or things! Very enjoyable, readable book. It made me excited about cleaning!

Customer Review: Tangerine
What a page turner! This engaging book is about a boy who has just moved to a new area, Tangerine County, Florida, with his family. He is a young man who is constantly outdone by his older star-football-player brother and is stuggling to find his place in life, in Tangerine county, and in his family. This book captures you into his world, taking you through the ups and down of the self-awarness and moral issues of middle school. This young man must ultimitly chose to do the right thing or to do what is expected of him. It deals with a question that every young person is asked, “What do you want to be?” Relativly short and an easier read than some, this book is a good read for most middle schoolers and young adults alike. It is well written and engaging with many twists and turns (especialy the ending!!!).
Customer Review: A real page-turner - Wow!
Through his computerized diary entries, Paul Fisher tells the story of his seventh-grade year. These entries not only let him describe what is happening, they give him the opportunity to reflect on his past. At the beginning of the story, the Fisher family has just moved to Florida from Houston. The diary entries tell the story of how Paul’s brother, Erik, has always bullied him. He even has his friends call Paul Eclipse boy because of a bad vision problem that was supposedly caused by Paul looking at an eclipse for too long. His parents virtually overlook Erik’s digressions because they are focused on what Paul calls the ‘Erik Fisher football dream.’ To make things worse, Paul gets kicked off of his new soccer team because his Mom had told the school that he has a visual ‘handicap’. But Paul believes that his vision is much better and it is proven in his many observations chronicled in the diary. When the portable school units had Paul’s middle school are swallowed by a sinkhole, Paul is given a chance to go to another school and he takes it. Because he knows that at Tangerine Middle School he can play soccer. Paul’s ability to ’see’ people for who they are may be even more sharp than his ability to see. He doesn’t see the class or racial barriers that separate him from the kids in this other school. His eagerness to play also earns him the respect of the other team members. As the story unfolds, Paul sees snippets of his past and the history of his family comes clear to him. And he is the unlikely hero in this heartwarming tale. Paul was endearing from the start. The writing in this novel is impeccable. The story is fantastic - a real page-turner. I read it all through in a day. There is a dark undertone to this book though so I would not recommend it for younger kids.

Customer Review: The epitome of frustration
I wanted SO MUCH to like this game. It started well enough,..smooth graphics, tons of teams and leagues, life-like player renderings. The gameplay seemed to be pretty good too. A week later, i’m still on the amateur level and still can’t score goals. I have owned every FIFA game for the past 10 years and have always played at the highest levels to great success. I have played soccer/coached soccer for over 30 years. This game is so irritating that I have not only broken 2 controllers, it is going back asap. The FIFA franchise’ gameplay has gone BACKWARDS since it peaked in 2005. The game does not reward solid buildup or creativity. Most goals are of the garbage variety. Its next to impossible to take the ball from the CPU yet they are TOO smart to pry open with through balls and too sound in the middle of the backline to beat on the dribble. The game is simply too complicated. Bring back the simplicity of the 2005 version with updates and rosters.
Customer Review: Great game!
This game is really great for me, i like the online tournaments, the type of game play and also the “play on a single position”, this is great, because it tells you when you are playing well, when you are playing wrong that especific position, and you can choose any one that you like….and of course also te classic things, but improved.

Customer Review: Very Good for Technical Skill-Building
While I agree with the reviewer who said the video is dated, the technical skills taught are very good. It doesn’t matter that you cannot hear him very well, just watch and then practice. I also agree that the videos (we have the set) are not the highest production quality, but that’s far outweighed by the benefits. He really breaks down the skills into pieces, and always offers several ways to develop your ability. Worth it if you’ll practice!!
Customer Review: Low Budget and Outdated
This video is low budget and outdated. The audio quality is very poor, the video is poorly shot and edited, and the instruction is mindless. “Coach” Vogelsinger’s instruction amounts to simple directions which he demonstrates. But all you hear is his garbled, high-pitched voice saying “There… and there…. and there…” which is supposed to highlight some technique. He never looks at the camera and the audio seems dubbed. After his demonstration there is footage of students trying the moves. It contains grainy old footage of NASL and World Cup matches. This video is at least ten years out of date.
