Customer Review: Durable, Comfortable, Stain Resistant, Excellent
I’ve been wearing the Dickies double-knee work pant for about 5 years now and wouldn’t trade them for the world. Unlike normal khakis, these pants are highly durable, extremely comfortable with extra room in the legs, they do not suffer from static cling, and they repel stains expertly. What I like best, though, is that they look nice enough for wearing in a business casual environment, while standing up to the wear and tear of work requirements.

Customer Review: Perfect!
They were great for extreme cold environment which I live in and when I was a teen growing up in south Louisiana, they held well in extrme heat and humidity. Give them a try, they’re also great for casual dress.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
Critically acclaimed, multi-million selling and still the most respected football title on the planet, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 continues to surpass everything that went before it. Player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo and England star Michael Owen endorse the quality of PES 2008 by using their considerable talents alongside the game. As well as anticipating the new look of the outside package, fans will be eager to know what new changes can be found inside the gameplay of PES 2008. PES 2008 will feature a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles, to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and change their style of play, to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics that you use. Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots, and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space, and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built.

Customer Review: Still better than FIFA
PES 2008 is long awaited in North America, but now that it’s here we can enjoy the finest edition of this long running series on PS2. Everything that was in PES 6 is still here plus the addition of new community and world tour modes. The network service is up and running (since 03/13/08) and it’s very easy to find a game against an online opponent, and as long as you pay attention to the connection quality (and only play opponents with 2 bars or more) then it will be very smooth and enjoyable. So in summary, despite the next-gen systems having better graphics, the PS2 game is the better overall experience hands down.
Customer Review: No fun when you can’t play online mode
First of all, I have PS3 but I bought a PS2 version of the game. The online mode is lagging so bad. the player move around without your control. also, PS3 have less Stadium then PS2. If I not remember wrong. PS3 only have 10 stadium vs PS 2 35 Stadium. PS2 get the World Tour Mode, which PS3 doesn’t have. Xbox 360 and PS3 has so many bug. go Google search PES 2008 bug. you will know what I am talking about here. Very Disappointed fans of WE series.

The Abstinence Teacher

Stonewood Heights is the perfect place to raise kids. It’s got the proverbial good schools, solid values and a healthy real estate market. It’s the kind of place where parents are involved in their children’s lives, where no opportunity for enrichment goes unexplored.

Ruth Ramsey is the human sexuality teacher at the local high school. She believes that “pleasure is good, shame is bad, and knowledge is power.” Ruth’s younger daughter’s soccer coach is Tim Mason, a former stoner and rocker whose response to hitting rock bottom was to reach out and be saved. Tim belongs to The Tabernacle, an evangelical Christian church that doesn’t approve of Ruth’s style of teaching. And Ruth in turn doesn’t applaud The Tabernacle’s mission to take its message outside its doors. Adversaries in a small-town culture war, Ruth and Tim instinctively mistrust each other. But when a controversy on the soccer field pushes the two of them to actually talk to each other, they are forced to take each other at something other than face value.

The Abstinence Teacher exposes the powerful emotions that run beneath the surface of modern American family life and explores the complex spiritual and sexual lives of ordinary people. Elegantly written, it is characterized by the distinctive mix of satire and compassion that have animated Perrotta’s previous novels.

Customer Review: Good for a long weekend at home
This book was recommended and given to me by a fellow teacher at work. She raved about it and went on and on about how great it was and how it only took her about a day or two to read it. I did not find it as engaging as my co-worker, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. All of the characters were interesting and well-developed. You see them grow and change throughout the book. I must admit, the book was much more interesting to me when told from Tim’s point of view. While none of the characters were really likeable to me, I found myself being drawn in and wanting to know what happens next. There were times when I could not wait to get back to this book to see what happens next and other times when I thought of skipping ahead to get around slow, dull moments. The ending leaves you hanging a bit. I am one of those readers who likes my stories tied up neatly at the end. An epilogue would have been wonderful and made the book more enjoyable for me.
Customer Review: Abstain with me.
This is the latest book by the bestselling author of Little Children. It tells the story of Ruth Ramsey, a divorced sexual education teacher who lives in suburban New Jersey and comes into conflict with the town’s conservative population. They force her to teach an abstinence based sex-ed class, hence the title of the book. The other main character is Tim, a born again Christian who is a recovering drug addict. Tim coaches Ruth’s daughter’s soccer team and he runs into a conflict with Ruth when he leads the team in a prayer. I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, because you really should find out what happens while you read it. Suffice to say that this is another one of Tom Perrotta’s ruefully funny dark comedies.
