Scotts 20-Inch Push Reel Mower #2000-20

Scotts 20-Inch Push Reel Mower #2000-20
The Scott’s classic reel mower is light, maneuverable, and economical. The business end of this push reel mower is solid, sharp, and everything a reel mower should be, with five heat-treated, knife-sharp steel blades that can be adjusted for nine grass heights with very easy wheel tabs. With its 10-inch wheels, radial tires, and 20-inch cutting width, this mower should enable you to cross whatever terrain and reach whatever hard-to-access rogue patches of grass you desire. There’s no soft cushion on the handle, which is too bad, but otherwise, the Scotts Classic is a durable, well-constructed, simple device.

Customer Review: wide reel mower
I like how wide (20″) this mower is, plus the adjustable height–up to 3″. Runs smoothly.

Customer Review: you will never go back, this is the way
I am a cyclist and for years pictured that a pushreel mower was more in line with who I am than the gas jalopys and cumbersome electrical ones I grew up with.

My girlfriend bought me this mower years ago when we moved to Halifax, and it the best mower I’ve ever used.

No more noise, smacking the blades on rocks, cutting cords, buying gas. If you like simplicity and a precision machine this is for you.

I had people stop me just about every time I’d use it. Some baffled at the “vintage mower” and others that were thinking about making the move themselves and wanted to talk about it or try it out.

Ultimately it became kinda like talking about a hotrod than a lawnmower. I can’t imagine perfect strangers doing that with any other type, I’m sure that doesn’t happen. People were really stoked on it.

Does it do a good job? It certainly does, pushreel are the only mower that cuts like scissors rather than breaks like a helicopter blade hitting grass.

Mowing the lawn is a good time now, grab a beer, catch some sun and trim the grass in silence. It’s pretty rad. I’m writing and review of my mower and it’s snowy outside–that pretty much says it right there.

The only negatives I can think of is that it doesn’t do a really good job on dandelions, but they should be pulled out anyway.

If you’re thinking about it, go for it. You won’t be disappointed. And the extra hundreds or thousands you save can be better spent on some cold ones or a trip somewhere.

Golf courses, ballparks, and botanical gardens use reel mowers…they know what they’re doing.

Fight the norm and discover the way.

Excalibur Grand Master Electronic Chess Set
To give players the feeling of true tournament play, Excalibur has used a tournament sized vinyl surface with weighted tournament pieces. The unique auto-sensory feature allows you to gently raise a pieced from one square and place it on the next, and the game will automatically sense your movement. Plus, there are two LCD displays, one on each side of the board, with individual controls so one or two people can play! Enjoy a great challenging game against a friend even when your levels are different. The Grandmaster acts as an equalizer by giving either player hints and the option to receive a threat warning when a piece is under attack. In advanced 2-player mode, it also acts as an advisor by keeping score and recommending moves. What a great way to improve your game. Features built-in dual chess clocks, large chess pieces with 3-1/2-inch king, 32-ply take-back, super strong 2200 rating, one or two player mode with scoring hints and analysis, 100 levels of play, five teach modes and 32 “Greatest Games.” Requires 4 “AA” alkaline batteries (not included).

Customer Review: FALSE ADVERTISING
When this product claims to sport “100 levels” - don’t believe it. There are actually only 5 levels - the other 95 “level” settings merely change the time control. If you change the computer strength, it’s only at unlimited time. Very disappointing. I called their tech support and the guy told me, “Well, you can just handicap the computer by limiting its alloted time.” Pardon me amigo, but time isn’t an issue for a computer. A 2200 level computer can move many times in one second while maintaining master level strength. What good is that?
Customer Review: Transparent transition from playing humans.
Big! Tournament scale board and large weighted pieces. If you are like me, and don’t really care for the typical one half size electronic table top chess games, then this attractive set is for you. The vinyl topped board doesn’t look at all like an electronic game. No lopsided controls on one side. Perfectly suitable for just a normal two person game. Comfortable. To the semi-serious hobbyist, a perfect companion. The computer program is capable of defeating well over 90% of all chess players at it’s top level of play. I’ll never wear it out or get bored.

The Essential Etta James
Etta James is the dues-paying blues mama. Throughout her tragic and storied career, Miss Peaches has successfully delivered her growling soul and soaring vocals to everything from Chicago blues to pop. Her voice is one of the most distinctive in the entire blues canon and The Essential Etta James captures it in its prime; 44 tracks cover her best Chess Records work from 1960 to the early ’70s. And though her early R&B hits for Modern like “Roll with Me Henry” are not here, just about everything else is: the supreme balladry of “All I Could Do Was Cry” and “At Last,” the sassy bump of “Seven-Day Fool” and “Pushover,” the raucous soul of “In the Basement,” and even bell-bottomed funk of “All the Way Down.” But the finest evidence of James’s versatility can be heard in her outstanding Memphis soul covers of “Tell Mama” and “Security.” There’s a lot of Etta James out there, but this is likely the best compilation of her work you’re going to find. –Ken Hohman

Customer Review: Etta’s best collection
If you have not heard Etta James, you are missing the most soulful, funky, get on down and crank it out blues singer to ever grace the face of this earth. To me, this is her finest collection. Don’t let your friends borrow it, if you ever want to see it again. It’s that good, trust in me… ;)
