The program includes positions from practical games, endgame studies, and other carefully developed training examples. Among the topics covered you’ll find mate in one, mate in two, win a Rook, win a piece, draw, etc. The many exercises are arranged in five self-contained courses, grouped according to their increasing difficulty. While learning about chess tactics the student receives a rating based on the difficulty of the problems, the time taken, and so forth. The original rating is adjusted up or down after each exercise, so that results can be monitored - see your improvement immediately! Customer Review: Doesn’t work with Vista
This may be a great program, but it doesn’t work with Vista and no where does AMZN or the product, say so. For me, its a total waste of money. My kids chess club tutor recommended however and thus I give it 3 stars anyway.

Very well done chess tactics training program by Convekta. Graphics and interface are good, not great. The course material, however, is excellent. This, in conjunction with Convekta’s “Advanced Chess School,” is a good start for entry level players seeking to raise their chess knowledge and skill level before moving on to Convekta’s vaunted “CT-ART 3.0.

Give the box a shake or tuck it away in your pack, the pieces will hold their position.

The best part is you can put the cover on in the middle of a game and come back where you left off. We took this on a trip to Thailand, and it was really handy for playing on the plane. We even brought it in the pool and it floated! A couple of the magnets have come loose, but nothing some super glue won’t fix.
Customer Review: Perfect portable chess set
This is the perfect portable chess set. The cover fits under the board when in use. You can stop in the middle of a game and replace the cover to keep the pieces from getting moved. It is magnetic to keep any jostling from moving the pieces. It is a reasonable size - small enough to be conveniently portable, large enough to be fun to play. I’ve given these as gifts and have two sets myself for travel chess and working through problems while reading chess books. There is a wide boarder around the board where the captured pieces can be placed, leaving all the pieces attached to the board. This is a superbly designed travel chess set.
