This particular chess game is nice because it folds closed and locks so you can put all the pieces in it. Also, the pieces are the traditional black and ivory colored pieces.
Customer Review: GREAT BEGINNER’S CHESS SET!
This chess set is very well made for the price. The wood pieces are detailed enough for beginners to easily identify, and have felt bases. The board is a hinged case that stores the pieces when not in use. It’s lightweight and portable; an excellent starter set for kids. It also includes a basic instruction sheet. I purchased it for a nine-year old grandson who just started playing and loves that it fits in his backpack. I’m very pleased with this purchase!
