Customer Review: Medium Quality Game
This game is OK, but it is pretty easy to beat. The computer opponent accepts doubles when the game is almost hopeless for it, making it easy to rack up points in a match. And it plays very conservative on some moves, and then stupidly aggressive on others. With all that said, I still play it and have fun. But I am still looking for a more challenging game, that plays at a very high level.

Customer Review: Great value for beginning players
My sons (aged 6 and play the chess game as much as they play any of their other GameBoy games. Both learned to play chess on a physical board prior to using the virtual version. The chess pieces actually battle each other, which seems to delight them. My husband, a rated chess player, says this version will keep them challenged for awhile.

More recently, both boys have been playing checkers, too, and they have asked me to teach them backgammon so they can play the GBA version. I highly recommend this chess/checkers/backgammon combo because it’s a great value.

Customer Review: Wii Board Games
Some of the tutorials do not explain fully the game or how to use the remote for all the things you should be able to do such as rolling the dice; I read the booklet that came with it and read the tutorial on the actual game and it did not tell you how to roll them but I finally had my son in law come over and we finally figured it out but once you get it all figured out, it has a lot of board games to choose from and most are enjoyable.

Customer Review: Could have been so much better
This game could have been prettty good minus a few things. If you don’t know how to play games like Backgammon, this game will allow you to play it, but you may not end up with a full understanding of HOW to play.

My second complaint would be that you can’t create a profile that tracks your wins/losses and even things as simple as your name. You must type in your name EVERY time you play a different game for it to show up on the high scores list.

And finally, the soundtrack is annoying. Some womans voice keeps popping up saying something inaudible and it’s really really annoying.

I had read that the book was “the Bible” of backgammon. But I think it is more than this, it is the definitive book on the game, it is the Bible, the Torah and the Koran all together. Other books simply repeat - sometimes with other words - what Magriel has said. Besides he goes deep in his comments on various aspects of the game like “builders”, flexibility and so on. If you are interested in the game or want to improve this is THE book!

One of my kids dropped it one time and the thing broke in half. We were disappointed. The board is made up of multiple pieces of wood glued together, and I guess the glue was weak in one spot.
Customer Review: A Classic!
Chinese checkers, possibly as well liked as normal checkers, is a fun game that requires a good strategy. The goal of the game is to move your marbles into your opponent’s triangle. You can move your marbles one space at a time, unless your marbles are placed so that you can jump them. The marbles are pretty, and the board is just as lovely and mesmerizing. My only caution is to keep track of the marbles, because they are easy to lose! I would definately recommend this game. Even slightly younger children might learn to enjoy this game, as long as you keep the marbles away from their mouth!

Liked the storage idea- got it for a child learning to play checkers. VERY difficult to distinguish between the red and black checkers, believe it or not!! The red is a VERY dark red- Good for a decorative wall hanging, not so great for playing with.

The cloth lining of the board and the dice thrower aren’t clued down properly. The exterior is made of vinyl. Overall, I’d not consider this a high quality item. However, it’s not super expensive either. One thing I do like is the cloth inner lining of the dice thrower which cuts down on the noise when the die are shaken. Would I have purchased this item again? Likely not. It’s just not made very solid.
