Customer Review: My 3 year old son loves these planes!
These are colorful and imaginatively designed paper airplanes. All you need to assemble them are sissors, glue, and paper clips. Assembly is straightforward. Now, the planes won’t win any contest for distance in flying. They often don’t fly in a straight line. But my 3 year old boy loves them. He loves it when Daddy builds an airplane for him. They fly, and even fly after getting beat up by a 3-year old’s play. Just think, 8 airplanes for $5. What a great deal. I gave these these to my son at Christmas and have built 4 already (3 months later). I suggest you don’t build them all at once. Space them out as treats. I highly recommend these!

To my delight, Willy Peeters has done one on the A-6 Intruder. This book is a great 36 page full color tour of the interior and exterior of the A-6 (Intruder/Prowler). It’s a welcome addition to Lou Drendel’s A-6 Intruder Walk Around (Squadron/Signal Publication) which, itself, contains a fair number of color photos (rare for a S/S book). Peeters does an excellent job of explaining what it is you’re looking at in each of the captions. A solid installment to this impressive series.

A nice collectible concert for living in the past as the song remains the same. Video transfer quality is ok considering the film is about 35 years old. Audio quality has been greatly improved and makes this title worthwhile for Zeppelin fans. This DVD replaced my VHS copy of the movie. The extras are also ok, nothing to get too excited about. If you are expecting the concert to look as good as modern day 16:9 standard DVD’s let alone HD DVD’s you will be disappointed. A must have for serious collectors as HD is being discontinued. I give this release four flaming chilies as it is Led Zeppelin after all.

Best known for his work as a songwriter, producer, and talent scout, singer-bassist Willie Dixon essentially built Chicago’s Cobra and Chess labels with his sweat. Although this double-disc set does include five performances by the man from Vicksburg, Mississippi, himself, it’s really a testament to his songwriting prowess, packed with recordings that made his tunes classics of blues and early rock & roll. There’s Howlin’ Wolf tearing through “Spoonful,” “Little Red Rooster,” “Evil,” and “Back Door Man.” There’s Muddy Waters belting “You Shook Me,” “Hoochie Coochie Man,” and “I’m Ready.” There’s Bo Diddley delivering “You Can’t Judge a Book by Its Cover” and Koko Taylor launching her career with “Wang Dang Doodle.” The set features excellent liner notes, and its only disappointment is that its label-centricity excludes Dixon’s work for Cobra with then-youngsters Otis Rush and Buddy Guy. –Ted Drozdowski

Like many blues musicians, Willie Dixon had an interesting background. He was born, and spent his childhood, here in Vicksburg. He never had formal music education, but a local carpenter taught him harmony singing. Dixon sang bass in a local gospel quartet. Along the way, he served a couple stretches on Mississippi prison farms. He started his career as a heavyweight boxer in Chicago, but switched to music and played bass, part of the time as a house musician. Dixon started out as a studio bass player with Chess Records when it was a fledgling company started by the Chess brothers. The present set includes 36 songs written by Dixon, and performed by a variety of artists in addition to Dixon including Muddy Waters (Hoochie Coochie Man, etc.), Howlin Wolf (I Ain’t Superstitious, etc.), Bo Diddley (Pretty Thing, and You Can’t Tell a Book by its Cover), Koko Taylor (Wang Dang Doodle) and many others. The boxed set is a must addition for your collection if you have a serious interest in blues. It also makes a good gift. I would note that the Vicksburg Blues Society and others served as co-sponsors of the Willie Dixon Wang Dang Doodle Blues Festival held in Vicksburg in 2006. The City of Vicksburg has added a Willie Dixon mural to the murals on the Mississippi River floodwall near Catfish Row (the southern end of The Delta). The mursl, featuring the legendary Blue Room in the background, was painted by the noted mural artist Robert Dafford under the sponsorship of local blues patrons Ray and Nancy Neilsen.

This set was my introduction to the *real* blues, and to not only Willie Dixon, but Muddy Waters and others featured in the set. For newcomers to the genre, it includes a wide array of rythms and styles in the blues category, showing its depth and richness. Lots of danceable selections, but more importantly, ALL genuine blues. Customer Review: Lots of Goals Alright, But not Enough Time.
The running time on this video is short, can’t remember how long but another reviewer said 20 minutes and it sounds about right. Lots of goals (all from the English Premier League) are cramped into this tape; so needless to say you don’t get replay, slow-motion, or even plays that lead to the goals on some occasion. Some goals are spectacular, others are pretty ordinary. It’ll be a long time before I view this video again, I simply have better ones in my collection. Like “Boys from Brazil”, that video is awesome!

Its a good soccer ball but its little heavy. The ball is water proof which is great for wet condition but bounce and swing of the ball is not tradition soccer ball like.
Customer Review: Best Soccer Ball Out There for You and I
This is one of the best if not the best soccer ball for those of us who do not play in professional sports arena. Forget Nike and Adidas, their soccer balls lose air and shape constantly and are made of poor quality synthetic materials. This soccer ball is the preferred choice for the hardcore soccer players in Flushing Meadow-Corona Park in Queens NY. Flushing is the Mecca of soccer in the NYC area. I have played there with people from all over the world; Brazil, Colombia, Peru, England, Ecuador, Argentina, Germany, Russia, Belgium, France… just to name a few. This ball maintains its shape and its air. I pumped my ball the first time I got it and have had no need to pump air into it again. I have had the ball for over a year now and sometimes I do not play with it for weeks, and it never loses air. Unlike Nike or Adidas’ soccer balls which I have to pump week in and week out this ball is awesome… don’t waste your money on any other ball.

Customer Review: Cheap piece of plastic
I was excited when the Battlelight was finally released for sale. Razer has been promising its release for over a year now. So, I would have thought, that during all the extra time in R&D that they had to perfect it, that Razer would have made the Battlelight a super product like the rest of Razer’s product line. Boy was I wrong, and disappointed. I ordered my Battlelight through Amazon and within 24 hours the cheep piece of plastic broke at the neck part where the light adjusts up and down. I have not sent it back since it was so cheap, and really do not want another one, so I am using the broken one with electrical tape holding it together.

Pros: Adds a “light” and a piece of plastic to go into the Tarantula Battle dock

Customer Review: Different Strokes
Think carefully on this one–it seems like a neat idea to bathe your keyboard in blue light, particularly if yours isn’t backlit. But…does it really do you any good? I’m a “cheating” typist–I’m lazy about home keys and often have to look down at my hands to double-check I’m not fadkjlajling all over the place. I love gaming in the dark–the better to be immersed in the full glow of the screen.

Looking at the Razer BattleLight, all I can see is a distraction. Because it’s a bulb, and it’s directly under your eyes, you have a glowing oval continuously in your peripheral vision (yes, even with the hood). The darker you want the room (which is why you wanted to light your keyboard, right?) the more you’re going to find this little neon tube demanding your attention in the lower part of your vision.

I’ve got a backlit keyboard now, but I still stick with my preferred way to see the keys and still game in the dark: I have a desk lamp with an adjustable dimmer, turned down low and out of my field of vision. A little bit of ambient light goes a long way.

Customer Review: Brilliant introduction for 5 year old
My five year old son has been really struggling at soccer, even though he is a fast runner and very co-ordinated he was just wandering around the field looking lost. So I spent three months looking for a good kids Soccer DVD to teach him. This was the third we had tried and it is brilliant!! He watched it six tims in the first two days. He had his first post-DVD soccer game yesterday and the difference was astounding. He excitedly jumped out of the car for the first time, dribbled the ball perfectly from the car to his time for the first time, line up with his team and kicked his first goal and started jumping up and down with excitment. He was very pleased with himself and the first thing he asked for this morning was, “Mum, can I please watch the soccer movie again?”.
Customer Review: Fine..but for YOUNGEWR KIDs
Actually, checked this out from the library several years ago. My daughter who has turned into a reasonably good soccer player (not necessarily thanks to this video, but…) really liked this video at the age of 7-8 years and actually remembers it. It is a basic resource that will hold their attention and can be the basis for a conversation on what they should be doing on the field. It is not comprehensive, but a good start for young kids in playing fundementals.

The best baking sheets I have every owned. I like them so much I bought two sets. I have a 2 large sheet and 1 small set, that I had for 6 years now. Then I bought this 3 piece set from Amazon for a Christmas present. Easy to clean, and they don’t burn food. All Airbaking stuff is top of the line cookware.

Mine are several years old and I’m ready to replace them. They did eventually warp and have some permanent staining. However, they continue to work as well as when first purchased. Cookies seem to rise higher and cook more evenly. I won’t bake cookies on anything else!

Being a Liverpool supporter, I enjoyed watching all of the great goals in the FA Cup throughout the years all on one DVD. However, the picture perhaps was not as good as it good have been. Of course, some of this footage was aged but there are ways to remaster and technologically improve such footage. The audio also was not as good as it probably should have been either. But if you are an American Liverpool fan who doesn’t have a multi-region or universal region DVD player, this DVD should satisfy your needs.

A review By Kayla Barry, a high school student, struggles between friends and playing soccer. Sturbridge is where he lives and their soccer team has a chance at winning league this year. His best friend Joey, one of the best soccer players on the team, has trouble-staying friends because of their soccer playing. Joey is a ball hog and doesn’t pass. Joey thinks that Barry (Bones) and the team aren’t playing there hardest. Joey and Bones also have trouble with girls because they both like the same girl and they both get with her. Bones has to deal with pressure from his mom, the soccer team, and Joey. This story is real easy to read. The words aren’t hard and the book just flows through the story. The soccer screens are great. They really tell you what is happening and you can picture it in your head. It talks about stuff that real teens would do like have a party the weekend your parents go away and the jealousy between friends. It shows a great struggle between two friends that are trying to stay great friends. It even shows them getting so mad at each other that they start fighting. It shows problems in the soccer team, some wanting it really bad and others out there just to play. The parts I didn’t like is after some chapters it had some inside opinions, poem like things, I didn’t get them or like them. They confused me. I didn’t know who wrote them and why there were writing them. I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book to whoever liked soccer and enjoyed reading great soccer screens. Also to people who liked reading about friends and their friendship, it has a good story between Joey and Bones. Shots on Goal is a fun and easy book to read.
Customer Review: A journey through adolecence and sports
I thought this book was a good sports book but it wasn’t spectacular. The characters are interesting and I enjoyed reading it. In this book Dusty; the main character, and his friend Joey are the backbone of the first strong soccer team their school has ever known. However after Joey starts going out with the girl that Dusty was after they become angry and start losing soccer games. I thought this was an interesting book and it talked about good issues like relationships and friendships.
