Customer Review: Cheap piece of plastic
I was excited when the Battlelight was finally released for sale. Razer has been promising its release for over a year now. So, I would have thought, that during all the extra time in R&D that they had to perfect it, that Razer would have made the Battlelight a super product like the rest of Razer’s product line. Boy was I wrong, and disappointed. I ordered my Battlelight through Amazon and within 24 hours the cheep piece of plastic broke at the neck part where the light adjusts up and down. I have not sent it back since it was so cheap, and really do not want another one, so I am using the broken one with electrical tape holding it together.

Pros: Adds a “light” and a piece of plastic to go into the Tarantula Battle dock

Customer Review: Different Strokes
Think carefully on this one–it seems like a neat idea to bathe your keyboard in blue light, particularly if yours isn’t backlit. But…does it really do you any good? I’m a “cheating” typist–I’m lazy about home keys and often have to look down at my hands to double-check I’m not fadkjlajling all over the place. I love gaming in the dark–the better to be immersed in the full glow of the screen.

Looking at the Razer BattleLight, all I can see is a distraction. Because it’s a bulb, and it’s directly under your eyes, you have a glowing oval continuously in your peripheral vision (yes, even with the hood). The darker you want the room (which is why you wanted to light your keyboard, right?) the more you’re going to find this little neon tube demanding your attention in the lower part of your vision.

I’ve got a backlit keyboard now, but I still stick with my preferred way to see the keys and still game in the dark: I have a desk lamp with an adjustable dimmer, turned down low and out of my field of vision. A little bit of ambient light goes a long way.

Being a Liverpool supporter, I enjoyed watching all of the great goals in the FA Cup throughout the years all on one DVD. However, the picture perhaps was not as good as it good have been. Of course, some of this footage was aged but there are ways to remaster and technologically improve such footage. The audio also was not as good as it probably should have been either. But if you are an American Liverpool fan who doesn’t have a multi-region or universal region DVD player, this DVD should satisfy your needs.

Customer Review: Excellent Product/Quality!
We recently had our kitchen remodeled. It did include under cabinet trash cans, however we recycle and did not want to have bins out in the open, in our new kitchen. So, we decided since we had plenty of room under the sink - we would buy one of these and try it out.

All I can say is PERFECTION! Comes with 8 screws - installed in 20 minutes and is great. Sturdy, smooth in and out rolling action and the bowed handle on the front is great. Bin is removable for easy cleaning and emptying. FYI - if you can’t remove the bin after install because it hits the counter top edge or your cabinet door won’t close - you installed it too close to the font edge of your cabinet face. It needs 2″ inches of room for the handle to clear the cabinet door (so it does not hit). If you install it right - there are no issues.

I will be purchasing another since this one worked out so good. Now we have 2 under cabinet bins for recycle and two for trash. No unsightly bins in the kitchen! Gotta love simplicity!

EXCELLENT item for the money! Buy it - you will be happy!

Customer Review: Just what I was looking for
After looking all over in two towns for something like this to help me with my model making, Amazon came to my rescue.

The visor is light without being flimsy and can easily fit the biggest of heads and mine is pretty big most one sizes fit most caps don’t fit me. The three lens option lock in solid and don’t wiggle at all while in use. While have the three different lens is nice for what I use them for, model making, the middle one has been the only one I have used. The low power is just not enough magnification for my bad eye sight and the highest power’s focal length is too short at six inches for what I am using them for.

They took a little getting use to at first but using them became second nature quickly. I have worn them for several hours straight without any fatigue. They are well worth the cost.

The Mirror Has Two Faces
Barbra Streisand’s self-absorbed remake of a 1958 French film stars Jeff Bridges as a college professor tired of sexual politics. He makes a deal with a dowdy colleague (Streisand) that they provide companionship for one another, with no thought of getting into bed. She agrees but soon becomes frustrated, the agreement only reinforcing her unfulfilled desire to have a complete relationship with a man. Mimi Rogers is on hand as Babs’s striking sister, and Lauren Bacall received an Oscar nomination for her role as the heroine’s selfish mother. The film is OK, but it becomes an irritating vanity piece for Streisand (who directed as well as stars). Her character constantly gazes upon her own reflection and is told at least a dozen times, one way or another, just how attractive she is. One wants to shout out, we get it already–you’re pretty! The DVD release presents the film in both widescreen and pan and scan versions, plus a Dolby soundtrack. –Tom Keogh

Customer Review: Falling in Love
I bought this movie, having watched only two other Barbra Streisand movies - “What’s Up Doc” and “Hello Dolly.” I was between jobs and needed to keep my mind occupied. I was fascinated by the actors and the plot. Actually, I watched the movie several times because I continued to see new details and new themes. Rose (Barbra Streisand) and Gregory (Jeff Martin) had a platonic marriage, yet I saw at least three framed pictures of their wedding in the house. I could see indications that Gregory was developing deep feelings for Rose before he ever proposed. There was some indication that Rose’s mother saw this, too, although she opposed the marriage arrangement. Rose’s feelings were more apparent after the wedding. There were some sad scenes: the wedding ceremony that did not end in a kiss, the wedding night when Rose tucked her husband in, after he fell asleep watching the movie. Rose just stood there watching him for awhile. Rose’s request for sex was quite humorous (nothing subtle about it.) Henry (Greg’s best friend) was a humorous voice of reason for Greg. When Gregory pulled away from Rose on the night they tried sex, and he declared, “I took every precaution to make sure there was no physical attraction,” that was one of the saddest scenes in the film. However, there was a very happy ending.

Customer Review: “Lady I Missed The Boat A Long Time Ago” ~ Faith, Disbelief And The Good Thief
Synopsis: A small plane headed for Tahiti carrying three convicts makes a layover on a small, volcanic South Pacific Island named Kalaua. The local Catholic priest Father Doonan (Spencer Tracy) convinces the local authorities to allow him to borrow the incarcerated trio to help with repairs at a secluded hospital for lepers during their stay. When the volcano begins to awaken the island residents are forced to evacuate Father Doonan and the convicts are the only ones brave enough to attempt a rescue of the lepers and hospital staff. Will they be able to escape the dangerous eruptions and lava and get to the docks before the schooner leaves at four o’clock? Only God knows.

Critique: The ‘61 film `Devil At 4 O’Clock’ is one of the lesser classics of the early `60’s. Spencer Tracy delivers one of his usual strong performances as the ill-tempered, disillusioned Catholic priest and Frank Sinatra rises to the occasion with one of his best on-screen performances as the hard-nosed convict Harry.

This is a surprisingly good film; the cast is superior, the dialogue intelligent and believable, the scenery breathtaking, the soundtrack memorable and the volcano magnificent. If that’s not enough the film also co-stars the beautiful Barbara Luna in the role of Camille, unquestionably one of the most beautiful Hispanic actresses to ever grace the silver screen.

Footnote: Here’s a little something that might be of interest to all you trivia collectors out there. Take note of the first couple of minutes of the film when the plane comes in for a landing. Did you catch the island boy running into Father Duggin’s office shouting “the plane, the plane!” Now you know where little Tattoo from the popular late 70’s television series `Fantasy Island’ got that phrase.

Customer Review: Not one of Tracy’s greatest, but a very good old movie
I just finished watching this movie for the first time in about 40 years–i.e., since my early teens. For “action” junkies, it will prove tedious because the only “good” part is at the very end. For special effects junkies, it will seem deficient because the techology available in 1961 paled in comparison with that available today.

But if you’re simply looking for a good movie with some human meaning and an emotional punch, this film will deliver. I’m not ordinarily a huge fan of Sinatra the actor, let alone Sinatra the person, but this is one of his best performances. And Tracy is, well, Tracy. ‘Nuff said on that score.

The movie requires a certain level of suspension of disbelief, but no more so than the vast majority of contemporary films. Those of us who still love movies from the 1930’s, 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s don’t regard a certain amount of requisite suspended disbelief as a fatal defect. Like the classic Western, this film is intended not as a reality-fest, but as a morality play, and it’s and a good one. Unlike the classic Western, it’s not racist. Indeed, it’s anything but, and was ahead of its time in that regard, as the final 20 minutes make clear.

A powerful movie. Many TV shows and films which impress one as a kid don’t impress one as a middle-aged adult, as I’ve found out from watching a lot of my favorite ancient TV shows and films in recent years. But this one holds up. If you can enjoy a pair of fine acting performances in an old-fashioned movie, this film won’t disappoint.

For my first go board, I really like the way this is made, the chips stored in the drawers made for very easy access and for transportation (assuming you have something holding the drawers shut.) The board is made very well and so are the chips, with the exception of the few chips I found that were broken in half for whatever reason. (But none of my games ever go that long as to use all the chips so I don’t mind.) Overall, this is a good product, especially for first time buyers.

This disc contains 12 games.

- Chess. It has 3 levels easy, medium and hard. Up to 4 players can play at the same time. I have not played it. So I don’t know how sophisticated it is.

- Checkers. This game is only suitable for kids because the moves are very limited. You can move only to the adjacent unoccupied square. I don’t even play it on the real board.

- Reversi. It’s challenging but it’s easy to play. It’s a good party game. It’s meant for 2 players only. But up to 4 players can play it by dividing into 2 teams.

- Back gammon. It requires good strategy and it’s easy to play. It’s a good party game. It’s meant for 2 players only. But up to 4 players can play it by dividing into 2 teams.

- Quattro. This game is only suitable for kids because the moves are very limited. It’s not worth it.

- Mahjong. This is not suitable for video game because the tiles are too small to see the patterns clearly. Even though my TV is 31 inches wide I still can hardly see the tiles from my couch. It’s easier to play on the computer because you sit much closer to the monitor. It’s also better to play with the real tiles.

- Sudoku. This game has both advantages and disadvantages. You won’t lose any number tiles because they are software. It’s easier to play with the video game because when you put a number in the wrong postion, the game won’t let you! It’s meant for 1 player only but more than one person can play it at the same time.

- Jigsaw. This game is best played with the real jigsaw pieces. In the video game, you can see only 6 pieces of the jigsaw at one time. The pieces move from the bottom right to the bottom left of the screen. So the same pieces will get out of view after some seconds. This makes it very hard to play.

- Chinese checker. It requires good strategy and it’s easy to play. It’s a good party game. Up to 5 people can play at the same time.

- Wordcube. This game is best played with the real pieces. It’s because the video game has a time limit of 10 minutes. You can make it shorter but not longer. I wish there was the option to turn off the time.

- Naval battle. This game is only suitable for kids because it’s too easy.

This travel backgammon set was a gift to my four children for Christmas before we went away on a trip. None of them even knew how to play backgammon before we received it, though I love the game. We took the set on a beach vacation and had a great time with it. It is well made, attractive, and magnetic so the pieces don’t go flying all around when you are playing or when you are just carrying the case around. Also, the game came with good directions and tips for the game, plus a little history for those who are interested. An excellent product!

We have two boys, 6 and 8. Their grandfather taught them to play backgammon, and they were hooked. We bought this travel version, and we’ve taken everywhere. If we expect to wait somewhere, like at a play or show, we’ll play while we wait. We took it to the Caribbean, and played on the airplane and while we were there. The zipper around the edge helps keep it closed, and keeps pieces from being lost. The magnetic pieces let us play on laps or in planes. The size is great for putting in a backpack so you can have it anywhere. Highly recommended.

Entertaining in the short term, but NO DURABILITY! The UFO flew once and then flew no more. I suppose it can still be utilized as a hand-held fan of sorts, but that was not its intended function. The battery will not charge as specified in the manual, if you can discern the meaning of the instructions at all. It seems that a rudimentary attempt was made to translate them into English. Perhaps they read more coherently in Chinese. While the UFO itself is of no entertainment after the first flight, the instruction manual may provide years of enjoyment! Save your Money!

This is a must have. There is not much to add from what has already been said. Clear sound, great footage……no fancy cut aways or camera angles…..just Bob and the songs. So this is a no brainer and TIED for best DVD of 2007 with Stax/Volt Revue live in Norway (that one is a barn burner though!). Customer Review: dylan fans can’t go wrong here
This may not be for everyone, but it’s an essential for any fan of Bob Dylan. There are uneven moments to be sure, but the power and the poetry of “Chimes of Freedom” or “Mr. Tambourine Man” alone are worth the price of admission. One pet peeve of mine on live recordings from Dylan’s folk era is Joan Baez “harmonizing” - ouch! (or is that heresy?) At any rate, the history would be incomplete without it, and that’s what the mute button is for.

This is one of the best if not the best soccer ball for those of us who do not play in professional sports arena. Forget Nike and Adidas, their soccer balls lose air and shape constantly and are made of poor quality synthetic materials. This soccer ball is the preferred choice for the hardcore soccer players in Flushing Meadow-Corona Park in Queens NY. Flushing is the Mecca of soccer in the NYC area. I have played there with people from all over the world; Brazil, Colombia, Peru, England, Ecuador, Argentina, Germany, Russia, Belgium, France… just to name a few. This ball maintains its shape and its air. I pumped my ball the first time I got it and have had no need to pump air into it again. I have had the ball for over a year now and sometimes I do not play with it for weeks, and it never loses air. Unlike Nike or Adidas’ soccer balls which I have to pump week in and week out this ball is awesome… don’t waste your money on any other ball.

With that title, I was hoping to see the best goals of the whole world cup. No - this video only shows the 80’s and 90’s. Still, some nice goals, but no Pele, Pushka, Osebio, Romario, or Ronaldo. A British production, there are plenty of English goals (not all of them “classic”). Still fun to watch and well-produced.

The world’s most popular sport has some great and infamous moments; every football fan will love this video. 101 classic goals from the world cup, the biggest and most professional tournament in the world. The video is old however (’classic’) I wish it included some of the modern goals, like the fantastic Michael Owen Goal during the ‘98 Finals Vs Argentina, that was a classic but you can’t have everything in life. This has Gazza, Pele, Maradona, All the top names and some people many people won’t even remember, but one thing is for sure, these are the best goals of the past 50 or so years of world cup history. If your moving away to a country were football is called ‘Soccer’ and your afraid your going to miss some of the action, watch this and remember why its the best sport on Earth. 4 Stars.
