The generator was easy to have up and running and for the price will do everything it needs to do.

I was pretty skeptical that mine would arrive damaged. I was very pleasantly surprised when it didn’t have a scratch. Difference between giving those UPS guys a Christmas gift or not I guess:) Anyway, I did not have my flex funnel as suggested and it cost me a big oil pool on my driveway. I tipped the unit, filled it with oil, which it kept taking and taking until I noticed oil running from air cleaner box; dudes! I know stupid! So, as someone else said, leave it upright, flex funnel it, add about a quart, maybe less, if you flex funnel it you’ll be able to tell when it overflows a little. Fill that byotch up with gas (add some Stabil) and it will start on the 2nd pull. I did have a little trouble with the choke lever. It didn’t want to move and I had to get a screw driver and help the actual choke flange move with the lever the first couple times; then it loosened a little. All other dudes are correct. The instructions for the motor do not match what your looking at. If you’ve worked with small motors before you’ll figure this on out quick. If your careful with the oil filling (not me, I was excited as kid on Christmas) you’ll have no trouble with this unit provided it was delivered intact. My buddy and I rented a Honda from Home Depot during the last power outage (retail $1400.00) and it was about the same noise level as this unit at the same power rating. I don’t know that the folks in a camp ground would like hearing it all night, but, it’ll keep your fridge, sump and a couple lamps humming.

Overall, GREAT value. If your hesitating ’cause of negative reviews; so did I. I decided to take a chance because of the price and I am very happy with this generator. Perfect for a back-up to power outage. Just take care of it with Stabil and run it once in a while.

Another user recommended closing the fuel valve then removing the carb bowl screw and draining it, then replacing the screw for the next use to prevent the carb from “gunking” up. I recommend just closing the fuel valve while it’s running and letting it go for the 5 minutes and it will stall after the carb is drained. That way you are not letting any dirt or dust into the carb bowl. The Stabil will keep it from “gunking”.

Sounds like it’s all up to the UPS man.

This game can be called a beneficial game to play . Meaning in that it helps with people of all ages with developing problem solving and cognitive thinking;as well as being a fun game with great graphics as well. I have tried this before so I know what I was getting into and pretty much so have gotten pretty good at it.. I have played various puzzle games in the past. Dr Mario, Tetris. various online ones at pogo.com and such. I find this one to be the most interesting as it offers alotta variety and skill levels . From very simple to quite trying and complex . This game would be great too for children for helping develop those problem solving skills they will need later in life as well. My nine year old son and four year old daughter both have a pair of these and both say they are comfortable. My daughter has the white ones and they are easy to clean. I didn’t want to pay a bunch of money for cleats when my kids’ feet are still growing, but I also didn’t want them running around in cheap shoes with no support. These cleats are a good option for my situation.

Not much to say really. These are very good work out shorts. I wear them to the gym on a regular basis and they are comfortable and functional. The pockets are nice.

What is the Bioelectrical Impedance Method?
Bioelectrical Impedance (BI) is considered one of the most accurate and accessible methods of screening body fat. Muscles, blood vessels and bones are body tissues having a high water content that conduct electricity easily. Body fat is tissue that has little electric conductivity. The monitor sends an extremely weak electrical current through your body to determine the amount of fat tissue. The weak electrical current is not felt while operating the Body Fat Analyzer. The monitor is calculated by a formula that includes five factors; electric resistance, height, weight, age and gender.
What is visceral fat?
Visceral fat is located around the organs. Too much visceral fat is thought to be closely linked to increased level of fat in the bloodstream, which can lead to common conditions such as high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Sedentary life style causes excess visceral fat, and exercise can reduce it quicker than subcutaneous fat (fat located under skin).

Customer Review: A good buy, especially for the price
$30 shipped to your door. It’s hard to find a decent watch at Walmart for $30 - just think about that.

This thing works, it’s simple, yes, but it does what it’s supposed to do. It doesn’t record any data, upload it to your pc, or do anything other than report your heart rate. For those of you who want detailed data, avg. hr, max hr. then this unit is not for you.

I run a lot of hills and believe that my avg. hr. would be misleading given that my hr. tends to drop into the low aerobic zone down hill and will climb into the 90%-100% range on the hardest incline. I suppose if you’re running on a flat track then the avg. would be a good way of measuring the hr you spent most of your time at. The max hr function would be helpful only for those who are testing themselves to find their max. When I tested myself I pretty much knew when to check the watch.

I find the reading to be very stable while running - I have never seen a blip of 0 or 260 or anything unusual - the reading is always very stable and moves around by 5bpm or so on a flat grade. The monitor has a heart in the upper right corner of the display that seems to flash when it’s receiving a reading, if it stops flashing that that seems to indicate that the watch is no longer receiving a signal. It’s easy to set the high and low thresholds and when you are above or below your set zone an arrow appears above or below the heart to indicate that you’re too high or too low. The watch can beep when you’re out of your zone but I don’t use this function given that I’m usually listening to music while running. The readings seem to fluctuate much more before I start my run; my wife is a nurse and has taken my pulse and we find the monitor to be accurate.

The strap is easily adjusted, comfy, and *very* easy to put on. There is no scratchy velcro. I am a thin build (6′1″ 172lbs) and can’t believe there’d be anyone thin enough that the strap would be too large. The unit works ok if you don’t moisten the strips with spit or water but has consistently worked flawlessly if you moisten it before you go. I do have a fairly hairy chest, no apparent interference. I don’t use it at the gym so I don’t know how bad the crosstalk would be with other units.

I am very happy with it, it works as advertised. At $30 it’s a no brainer! I would be tempted to get something like the forerunner 50 that used hr and a foot pod but at $130 that’s just too pricey. For a basic hr monitor this can’t be beat, you are sacrificing some of the fancy bells and whistles but you are not sacrificing quality or functionality - it works flawlessly every time. The watch does have a blue back light, a stopwatch, the date and time. You can easily switch back and forth between any display and the hr monitor with the push of the red button. I find that I only need the stop watch, the time and date seem pointless given that I will only be wearing this watch while running.

My only quibble is that the instructions suggest you base your training zones on a percentage of your max hr. I would advocate that you use the Karvonen Formula that uses the max hr in addition to your resting hr.

Customer Review: Good price, but doesn’t work
I was drawn in by the price, and figured I’d take a chance since the reviews were about 50/50.

The product does not work as many other reviewers stated. My heart rate would read wacky and varied at rest and zero during exercise. And I’m fairly certain that I do have a heartbeat.

I thought it was worth the risk given the low cost. Amazon rocks as usual with returns of unworthy products, however just know going in that you’ll likely end up sending it back. In the end, it was just a big waste of my time and effort.

Despite the huge cost difference, I’ll be moving to the Polar brand (which my boot camp instructor recommends).

Because no matter how cheap you can get something, it’s worth nothing if it doesn’t work.

This is such a simple game but it is so much fun to play that 10-12 of us play every month. We play ten rounds at $[...] each round. Everyone hosts an LCR party and all participants either bring an appetizer or dessert. It’s a very cheap night out. We have tons of laughs and the game has become SO popular in my neighborhood that some people attend 2-3 LCR parties each month. It’s much more fun with a minimum of eight people IMO. The more, the better. You can’t go wrong with this game.

Customer Review: I got a lemon
I was very happy with my Clip and thought to furnish myself with every kind of charger so that I could charge it anywhere, anytime, with or without a computer. The cover and car charger worked fine, but the first time I used the Wall Charger, my clip became very warm, almost hot after half an hour. It won’t work after that. When I called the store, they told me to reset it by poking at a “pin size hole” to reset it - there was no such thing on the clip except for the microphone! Then they told me several different ways to reset it (using the power button) and they didn’t work either. Finally they said to call Sandisk support line, because “it’s not the charger” that they’ve sold thousands and there has been no problems for the other users. I’m very disappointed that they don’t stand behind their product, and I’m short a Sansa Clip.

With a very suitable title, this book highlights the work of two very accomplished and ambitious modelers, Lewis Pruneau and Bob Letterman, both of which were inspired and befriended by Francois Verlinden early in his career. Francois immediately published this first book dedicated to their work in order to introduce them to the rest of the scale modeling community. The book focuses on only three pieces of their work, but in reality a book could easily have been made for each of these massive pieces. The first piece, entitled The Paris Gun, is a 1:35 scale monster of a German railroad mounted gun built from scratch by Lewis Pruneau. Depicted in a diorama as it appeared during construction in the factory, this piece is comprehensively detailed from every side to a very high level of realism. The next piece, also by Lewis, is of a dry-docked German experimental U-Boat undergoing maintenance. Again, the entire piece is built from scratch, with many photographs taken during construction. This piece truly illustrates the talents of this bold modeler. The final article focuses on a miniature city in 1:35 scale by Bob Letterman. Depicting a French city undergoing liberation from the Germans by Pattons forces during WWII, it truly must be seen to be believed. Although the main theme is clearly shown in the form of U.S. Army convoys moving past columns of German P.O.W.s in the city, seemingly countless details can be seen, from individual vignettes on street corners, to different European architectural styles. This book is a must for every modeler, artist, military enthusiast, and history buff.

I had hoped that this book was going to be useful. However it is sadly out of date. It was published in the 1980’s and doesnt have any of todays tech. I would recommend that you skip it and get “How to Build Dioramas” instead.

I’ve had this book for more than 10 years, yet continue to re-read at least once a year… and I’m not even building plastic models any more. The word is: Stunning.

I happened across the first two books in the series at a bookstore and could not resist buying them. Since then, I’ve bought this book. To date, I have not made any planes in this book yet (though I have made planes from his other related books). I have looked through it extensively and am impatiently waiting for having spare time to work on the planes. There is a nice selection of planes from a WW1 Tiger Moth all the way up to Burt Rutan’s Voyager that flew around the world on one tank of gas. I personally look forward to building and flying the Voyager and the GeeBee R-2. The planes are from a variety of countries, as well. In addition to the planes, there are nice historical backgrounds for each aircraft included. I’m an airplane nut, and there are some planes in here that I’d never heard of. I should mention that this is not a typical ‘paper airplane’ book. You do not simply take a sheet of paper and fold it in various ways then fly it. You have to cut out numerous pieces, form them to get the proper curves, glue them (carefully, so that the paper doesn’t warp when it’s drying), and THEN fly them. Even though that may sound challenging, the first few airplanes are enough to learn the skills necessary for the later (and more challenging) airplanes. And…THE PLANES FLY GREAT when built with patience and care. Mine have survived some great crashes into walls and radiators since I have a habit of launching them indoors (all the planes have a hook for launching via rubber bands).

This 154 page Handbook is the complete resource guide for building a large scale radio controlled aircraft. It includes complete, cross referenced directories of plans for over 400 scale aircraft, as well as a directory of over 200 engines (single cylinder, multi-cylinder, glow fuel powered, and gasoline powered) that are suitable for large scale use. Also included is a cross referenced directory of servos that have the muscle for a large aircraft. All of the contact information for these designers and manufacturers is included as well. In addition, there are complete plans, and detailed construction article for building a very inexpensive Phony Fokker, a “stand way off” scale model of a Fokker Eindecker. You can build this entire aircraft, including the engine, for under $200. The detailed article shows how to construct the aircraft (from reinforced, corrugated cardboard), and how to convert an inexpensive weed trimmer engine for use as an aircraft powerplant. There are over a dozen technical articles,on covering and finishing techniques (with both Monokote film coverings, and conventional fabric and paint), control linkage geometry, converting a large scale ARF (almost ready to fly model) to electric power, duplicating full scale panel lines and fabric rib stitching, and how to calculate the wing loading, mean aerodynamic chord, etc. to make sure that your model will fly properly. There is even an article on photographing full scale aircraft, to use for research and documentation purposes on your scale model project. If you have ever thought of building a large R/C model, this book is for you. This can be the gateway to an exciting and challenging life long hobby.
